Catholic Teaching on Immigration by Rev. Michael P. Orsi
It's sad to see a Catholic priest arguing for draconian measures against our next-door neighbors under the guise that they are illegal aliens. Sorry, but history shows that the U.S.-Mexico border was foisted on Mexicans by the U.S. in its slave-owning white supremacist and anti-Catholic era specifically to fence them out of its whites-only Protestant homeland. In the year 2010 that mentality is kaput, and should not be defended under any guise, especially Catholicism. Rather, it's time to try my Megamerge Dissolution Solution of a bipartisan effort by Congress to invite the Mexican people to dissolve their ever-corrupt govt. and join the U.S. as 10+ new states, allowing the border to expand to the oceans where control is far easier since emigration is far more expensive and easy to monitor, while turning old Mexico into a U.S. sector with several new bustling economic zones.
