It's too bad that the Republicans are stuck in the \"papers please\" mentality while the Democrats are stuck in the \"earn your citizenship while we pretend to close the borders\" mentality. Both ignore two realities. One, the 2K-mi. U.S.-Mexico border can never be sealed. Two, the incurably corrupt Mexican govt. will forever cause millions to want to cross for a fairer shake despite all obstacles. If the Mexican govt. were the Joker he'd be cackling 24/7/365 at the Yankees' sheer inability to see them as the elephant in the room that must be dissolved before any true solution of the U.S.-Mexico problem can be tried. Study my nonpartisan Megamerge Dissolution Solution, a plan to work with the people of Mexico to accept them as U.S. citizens in return for becoming part of the U.S. and allowing vibrant economic sectors to be set up to attract southward migration, a New California, New Arizona, New Florida and New Texas, and see how both parties can unite behind it for a win-win permanent satisfying solution: http://go.to/megamerge
