Will Arizona Abandon the New Immigration Law? - ThinSkull Blog
Whether Arizona's "papers please" law is constitutional or not, and even if it locks up every Mexican border-crosser in Arizona, then what? They will have to eventually be released to the feds, and later likely cross again over the unsealable 2K-mi. border, so it's just an expensive grudge-making merry-go-round. The massive protests against it are misguided because instead they should be protesting the real problem, the incurably corrupt Mexican govt. that destroys opportunity and keeps the rich on top of the poor, forcing them over the border for a fairer shake regardless of obstacles thrown in their path. Any real solution will seek to dissolve that govt. Try the Megamerge Dissolution Solution of a bipartisan Congress working with the Mexican people over the Mexican govt.'s head if necessary to dissolve it in return for forming several new U.S. state govts., ending the border and creating a New California, New Arizona, New Texas, New Florida etc. that can become vibrant new economic zones for all 414 million Americans.
