Sorry, but Mexicans are Americans too and have a right to share the New World. It's immigrants from overseas who have to earn that right. With Mexico, the real question is why it's still treated as a separate country, or why its corrupt govt. is still treated as legit. The U.S. has the power and right to force a 1-state solution, but because we are indeed all Americans it can easily be done with the approval of the Mexican people.
