  1. My reply:

We're not going to deport them because it would cost too much? Actually, with a charter prison bus system and assistance from local police the U.S. could deport 12M Mexicans at maybe $500 per, only $6B, including free meals. Too bad, they'll soon be back, asking for a free pina colada next time :)

The Republican Party isn't serious about the Mexican issue because it knows that despite being the party of Lincoln it has gone along with the de facto apartheid of brown-skinned peoples for 150 years, and won't come clean and work for a New Beginning of incorporation of Mexico including full citizenship for all in return for extending the Stars and Strips to the new territory along with U.S. law so that it can finally be developed like East Germany. It's pure racism because they can't stomach the thought of tens of millions of new Mexican-American Republicans who out-Lincoln them. If they won't grow up, maybe the GOP needs to go the way of the Confederacy.

Only I have a 7-step program showing how it can be done by a bipartisan majority in Congress, the Megamerge Dissolution Solution. Clearly the Republicans have to make the first move otherwise the Democrats would consider it a non-starter:
