Stop calling people “aliens” Many have finally quit using the word “illegal.” But “alien" persists, and its history is dark and complicated
Duh, them sci-fi guys stunk the term alien up, so we should drop it for real people? I'll buy that for Mexican border-crossers, but not madass Muslims from the Middle East.
Either way, Mexico continues to skew the debate on immigration to the U.S. because they're already here and just have to cross a fence or swim a river. It's the border itself that's causing the problems, along with 2 nations trying to share the same territory. The true permanent solution is still the incorporation of Mexico and its people into the U.S. as 10 new states, allowing the freedom solution to right all wrongs as the new states are developed to the same level as the other 50, which would also end unemployment. As a bigger better happier nation of 400+ million, we can then properly address immigration from overseas by peoples from er, alien cultures.
