Immigration may be a threat to Republicans, but not to America
This kind of article all but tells Republicans they're stupid if they don't vote against the immigration bill, by trying to tell them they're stupid if they do, what they call reverse psychology. But the truth is that both parties are stuck on stupid when it comes to Mexicans, because no matter how they handle the current crop of border-crossers, there's 100+ million more to deal with later, who are being left out in the cold, living under an ever-corrupt govt. that keeps the poor down so the rich can get richer, like Carlos Slim, insuring that more millions will brave the border in future years.
Mexicans all want to become Democrats do they? I'm not so sure. When will both parties quit using Mexicans as a political football and unite on the goal of annexing Mexico as 10 new states, restricting their squabbling to minor issues like timing, phasing, and funding? Right now Congress should offer immediate U.S. citizenship to all Mexicans on either side of the border who pledge to support annexation in a future referendum that will dissolve the Mexican govt. and reorganize it as 10 new states. Once the great megamerge is accomplished, the 60-state U.S. will be bigger, better, and happier, with an economic boom in the new states as southward migration brings in not only U.S. laws but capital and knowhow, reducing unemployment to near zero.
Tell your reps to visit my Megamerge Dissolution Solution Blog, that explains how a bipartisan Congress can finally drop moose hockey stuck-on-stupid immigration reform and seize the future.
