Evangelical Campaign for Immigration Reform Faces Key Obstacle: Grassroots
When it comes to aliens from overseas, we need a path to citizenship, but when it comes to our next-door neighbors in Mexico we need a different approach, because we have to share the New World with them and they don't have to prove their right to be here. The U.S.-Mexico border is just a political line drawn on a map, not an ocean, and it's what's on the other side that is causing all the problems, the Invisible Elephant of the incurably corrupt Mexican govt. that avoids the spotlight because of its sweetheart deals with the U.S. establishment while crushing the poor and making them want to cross the border despite all hardships and obstacles.
