Racist or not, "papers please" laws for catching Mexican border-crossers are no solution, since the 2K-mi. U.S.-Mexico border is unsealable and they will recross later. The real problem that goes untouched is the Invisible Man, the incurably corrupt Mexican govt. that rides the rich on the backs of the poor, robbing them of opportunity and causing them to cross the border despite all obstacles placed in their way.
