When it comes to the 2K-mi. U.S.-Mexico border, a fence is a waste, because only a military guard could ever begin to seal it. Do the math. At 10-100 soldiers per mile, plus replacements for 3 shifts a day, the total would be so high it would likely require a national military draft. And it does nothing to end the real problem of the incurably corrupt Mexican govt. that rides the rich on the backs of the poor.
