Yes, Pelosi's views on amnesty for Mexican immigrants are largely based on Democratic Party politics, but so are Republican non-solutions. Both major parties are clueless when it comes to the 2K-mi. U.S.-Mexico border, because it is unsealable, even with a hi-tech fence. It's not a can of pork and beans. Real sealing would require a permanent military occupation of 10-100 soldiers per mi., times 3 for 3 shifts a day, 24/7/365, all requiring a permanent national military draft. And after several years of festering, the incurably corrupt Mexican govt. will likely be overthrown by a Mexican Castro who will invite our worst enemies into Mexico to set up shop, maybe with nuclear bases, and eventually begin sending armed guerrillas to punch holes in the Great Wall in order to pillage, not to chase the Great American Dream with honest work.
