Arizona Immigration Law not Historically Unusual There are several examples of states enforcing immigration laws that were actually stricter than federal immigration law.
Just because white supremacist America did something in the past, that doesn't make it right. The whole U.S.-Mexico problem was created by the U.S. in 1848 when it stole half of Mexico's territory for its whites-only homeland, leaving sawed-off Mexico eternally dependent, and the 2K-mi. border totally lawless and unsealable. We're living in the 21st cent. and it's time to rise above racism and solve the problem, not wallow in the past. The real challenge is not the border or the border-crossers but the totally corrupt Mexican govt. that defaces the New World with its failure to develop Mexico and its exploitation of the poor for the rich, and any real solution must start with dissolving it, followed by the border, incorporating Mexico as several new U.S. states.
