Obama's comment that we shouldn't have a patchwork of immigration laws in different states is a half-truth, because no state papers-please law does anything other than direct the police when and where to check people for federal immigration papers, and hand them to the feds, hence it's counterproductive to complain about them, much less fight them in court. If Obama wants immigration vis a vis Mexico reformed at the federal level, where's his leadership? All he seems to do is want to allow as many Mexican border-crossers as desired to not only evade arrest and deportation but gain U.S. citizenship and then invite their families in, probably on the theory that they will become registered Democrats, which might not work out the way he thinks. Meanwhile he totally refuses to face the real problem facing the U.S., namely, the failed dependent country of Mexico with an incurably corrupt govt. that's a ticking time bomb waiting to blow up in our faces and makes enforcement of any immigration laws impossible. The Mexican political parties are all hopelessly corrupt and no match for ours. If Obama is a leader why doesn't he invite both major parties to unite behind a general goal of incorporating Mexico's territory as a new U.S. sector after dissolving that govt. and substituting ours, along with our Constitution, before Mexico drags the U.S. down to anarchy and subverts it.
