This article is right as far as it goes. Yes, amnesty for the 11M won't stop another 20M, 30M, even 50M from following in their steps. Why? Because we keep treating the US-Mexico border as a unidirecitonal sieve. This 1-sided situation has been and always will be pure trouble, and it's not about racism or culturalism, it's about why do we need two nations in the first place to share the New World in peace and prosperity.

Both major parties waste year after year trivializing the issue and jockeying for temporary advantage. The whole debate must be shifted to a new paradigm, namely, the INCORPORATION OF MEXICO INTO THE U.S. AS 10 NEW STATES, which I call the Megamerge Dissolution Solution. Once that paradigm is on the table, the whole issue is finally headed for a happy ending.

WHY NOT make all 110 million Mexicans into US citizens in return for adding their territory to the US so that migration can be in both directions? The power of freedom and free enterprise will then be able to go to work bringing the 10 new states up to the same level of development as the other 50 as whole new cities are built, especially on the huge coastline. The new bigger U.S. will then be far more defensible from illegal immigrants from other continents, as well as from foreign invasion. The only thing that has to go is the ever-corrupt Mexican govt., but who needs it? It's the win-win solution.

Did your glands just turn off your frontal lobes? I hope readers will appreciate that I've thought it all out and everybody should take the time to study it after turning off their glands. It''s not a leftist or rightist idea because it's above partisan politics. It's not about globalism or weakening our borders, but about expanding US territory and building stronger borders along the Mexican coasts. Who wants to take our country on now, much less after we have 60 states and 400M citizens, with a global island that's militarily defensible in all directions? Both major parties need to get behind it to launch it in Congress, after which it can happen in just years, making the US permanently bigger, stronger, and safer. If the new paradigm isn't put on the table, the US will just get weaker each year, what a waste.

Once again the US political system is STUCK ON STUPID when it comes to the US-Mexico issue, with the two major parties trivializing it to jockey for position, like when Nero fiddled while Rome burned.

The elephant in the room is WHY ARE THERE TWO NATIONS TRYING TO SHARE THE SAME SPACE IN THE NEW WORLD? Why shouldn't there just be one, namely, a 60-state US? The way to do it is the MEGAMERGE DISSOLUTION SOLUTION of a bipartisan Congress dropping partisan politics and inviting all the people of Mexico to scrap their failed govt. and dependent country and join ours as 10 new states. After a transition period, the border came come down and free market forces can go to work developing the 10 new states to the same level as the other 50.

I've thought it all out, it's not a pipe dream. Go to my Megamerge Dissolution Solution Blog and read about it now.
