SHAPIRO: Smart immigration could save the U.S. economy
It doesn't matter how many skilled immigrants from around the world the U.S. attracts when the US-Mexico problem is left festering. If the U.S. wants to fix its economy it should think in terms of ANNEXATION OF MEXICO to open up 10 new states to development, allowing whole new cities to be built especially on the coasts. Instead the two major parties play Nero or Ostrich and leave all that territory underdeveloped while playing games about "illegal immigrants" who are just trying to come to our side of the artificial line that we perpetuate.
The permanent bipartisan solution is already in black and white right here:
