It's sad that as long as the Republican Party stays stuck on stupid the overwhelming mass of Mexicans in the US will opt out of it in favor of the Democratic Party.
It doesn't have to be that way if the GOP would finally adopt the MEGAMERGE DISSOLUTION SOLUTION of incorporating Mexico into the U.S. as 10 new states, after which its basic message of the American Dream, free enterprise, and hard work with freedom and justice for all sans confiscation for domestic giveaway programs along with a strong national defense will resonate with millions who have been driven into the arms of the Democrats. The party of Lincoln should remember their roots and heal our wounds with Mexico, so what's stopping it?
However, the GOP can't do it alone. Both parties must adopt it and work together in a bipartisan Congressional effort to make it happen. After a transition period the border can come down, and 2-way migration enable free market forces to develop failed dependent Mexico to the same level as the rest of the US, but as a part of the US forever.
All other so-called immigration solutions on the table now are pure moose hockey because they perpetuate a 2-state solution.
But all them ignorant uneducated Mexican voters will be too stupid to have the vote? Duh, who elected Carter, Bush, and Obama? :)
