    These figures indicate that the Republicans are on the wrong side of a serious racial divide. ]]

    Duh, this indicates that they are on the right side of popular opinion, even Latinos.

    However, surveys like this skirt the real issue, which is do the American people want a border that can be permanently secured, if it means absorbing Mexico as 10 new states and expanding the border to the seas?

    I think that both major parties will ultimately unite on this issue and work to get it behind us, turning a weakness into a strength with a bigger better happier 60-state U.S.
