Once again the NYT plays ostrich about Mexico, lamely lumping immigrants from overseas with those already here in the New World just over a 200-year-old wall of apartheid. That wall must come down and the U.S. must face the consequences. The only question is, does it want to be in control? For years I've been calling for both parties to unite behind my Megamerge Dissolution Solution of inviting the Mexican people to scrap their failed country and join the U.S. as 10 new states so we can try the freedom solution of 60 states and no unworkable 2K-mile border. I'm still waiting for the NYT's editors to even mention it.
