McCain: We’ll make border with Mexico look like ‘the Berlin Wall’
When it comes to the US-Mexico issue, John McCain is like all U.S. senators - stuck on stupid. For decades the U.S. made political hay about the evilness of the Berlin Wall, so why do we want to go that same route with a Brownsville Wall? Either way, the border is almost 2K mi. long, and militarizing 700 mi. of it is like pouring money into a dry hole. We will never seal the US-Mexico border, so why not finally admit that the solution is to incorporate Mexico as 10 new states, allowing the border to become the Mexican coasts, which are far easier to seal since they're oceanbound? The 400+ million Americans in all 60 states can then freely intermix, with employers in the north hiring all the Mexicans they want without red tape, and mass southward migration causing an economic boom in the new states that can end unemployment and double U.S. GDP in a generation. In comparison to this real permanent win-win solution, Congress is pushing time and money-wasting moose hockey stuck-on-stupid solutions. Despite the great numbers of decent people on both sides of the border who need this solution and would support it, the media is still keeping it from them, making me the lone voice crying in the wilderness, even though the future is with me.
