Immigration: GOP steps away from any path to citizenship; House leadership to hash out plan
As long as the ever-corrupt govt. of Mexico exists, it can always be argued that granting Mexican border-crossers U.S. citizenship divides their loyalties and weakens the U.S. But once Congress unites behind the goal of annexing Mexico, granting citizenship to Mexicans on either side of the border who agree to annexation becomes a strength. Therefore all the moose hockey immigration legislation in Congress now is stuck on stupid, and needs to wake up and smell the future of a 60-state U.S. that is bigger, better, and happier., not to mention wealthier and stronger militarily.
