Sorry, but both the Republican "papers please" approach and the Democratic earned citizenship approach fail to recognize that the 2K-mi. U.S.-Mexico border is unsealable, and they will keep coming. Why not try a new approach of working to incorporate failed Mexico into the U.S. as several new states after the Mexican people accept our proposal and dissolve their incurably-corrupt govt. that keeps the rich on top of the poor, allowing the border to expand to the oceans where it can finally be controlled, while Marshall Plan type aid to create the necessary infrastructure can lead to mass southward migration and the creation of several vibrant new economic zones along with millions of new jobs for all 414 million Americans. Google "Megamerge Dissolution Solution" to read my bipartisan plan to do it in a few years instead of wasting more time on non-solutions and strife.
