It's sad to see the U.S. tearing itself up over the 2K-mi. U.S.-Mexico border without recognizing that it is unsealable without bankrupting the country and destroying all remaining civil liberties, and turning Mexico from an ally into a bitter enemy. Both major parties need to quit obsessing over all the little mice and notice the elephant, the incurably corrupt Mexican govt. that keeps the rich on top of the poor, driving them over the border despite all obstacles in hopes of a fairer shake. We owe all immigrants a fairer shake, not treatment as criminals, but our next-door neighbors in Mexico deserve even better, since we already share the New World with them. It's not the Mexican people it's their govt., and any permanent solution requires it to be dissolved, period. We could do it by military force, but why not try just inviting the Mexican people to do it in exchange for incorporation into the U.S. as several new states with all granted full citizenship, allowing the border to expand to the oceans where it can finally be controlled, while turning old Mexico into several new vibrant economic zones with Marshall Plan type aid to create the infrastructure to attract mass southward migration, resulting in a bigger better model nation that shares the New World in peace and prosperity? Google Megamerge Dissolution Solution to read my plan showing how it can be done with a bipartisan effort in Congress instead of wasting more time on the current non-solutions along with protests and boycotts.
