'This Week' Roundtable Debates the Arizona Immigration Law
When it comes to Mexico, it's sad that the U.S. tries to avoid the real issues by concentrating on pitty-pat procedural issues like racial profiling. Obviously, the govt. could get around it by requiring all U.S. citizens to register with the Citizenship Office like they do with the Draft Office, and treat all equally, as if anybody wants that. Mexico is a failed country and its masses of border-crossers fleeing the backward undeveloped land run by a corrupt govt. and filled with poverty, injustice and crime have swamped our immigration system, and no one state can change that. The only real solution has always been there, namely, for Congress along with all 50 states to apologize to Mexico's people for 160 years of white supremacist apartheid and invite them all to become U.S. citizens in exchange for reorganizing their territory as several new U.S. states and dissolving their govt. Is this a pipe dream or can it be done in a matter of years, making all the infighting over non-solutions to the border a waste?
